Red, White and Blue Dessert

  • 1 small box raspberry jello
  • 1 envelope Knox gelatin
  • ½ cup cold water
  • 1 cup half and half cream
  • 1 cup sugar
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • 8 oz pkg. cream cheese
  • ½ cup walnuts, chopped, (optional)
  • 1 small box raspberry jello
  • 1 cup hot water (boiling)
  • 1 can blueberry pie filling


First layer

  1. Dissolve raspberry jello in 1 cup boiling water, add 1 cup cold water, stirring well.
  2. Pour into large mold or bowl, refrigerate until jello is set.

Second layer

  1. Dissolve gelatin in ½ cup cold water.
  2. Heat half and half and 1 cup sugar.
  3. Mix in plain gelatin; add vanilla and cream cheese.
  4. Blend well with electric mixer.
  5. While warm add the walnuts.
  6. Pour over first layer and let set.

Third layer

  1. Mix other box raspberry jello, boiling water, and the can of blueberry pie filling.
  2. Cool and pour over second layer.
  3. Refrigerate until set or firm, then unmold.
  4. Serve with whipped cream if you like.
  5. Enjoy.
