Hurka Hungarian Sausage Recipe



  1. Put into large pot cover with water bring to boil
  2. Add 4 chopped onions
  3. Stir often
  4. Add 4 cups instant rice salt & pepper to taste
  5. Cook for 1 hour
  6. Skim fat off
  7. Add seasoning - for seasoning add garlic, alspice, sage & margarium, keep smelling & tasting till flavor is right
  8. Pour into several large flat pans
  9. Let harden in refrig. (Or can be pushed into casings like Sausage.)
  10. Cut into squares (enough for a serving for your family) freeze separately
  11. To cook: let thaw, fry in frying pan or bake in oven (20 minutes).
  12. Serve with eggs or Cathy (Ambrisko) Mullenix
