Chestnut Cream

In Romanian: crema de castane



  1. Cream the butter with the sugar and rum.
  2. Make an X into the chestnut peel, and set to boil.
  3. Start with cold water.
  4. Let boil for just a few minutes.
  5. Then peel the chestnuts, grind and then sieve them.
  6. Put the chestnut puree in a bowl and gradually add the butter mixture.
  7. Mix well.
