Alaska Clam Chowder



  1. Sauté bacon until half crisp in frying pan.
  2. Place in medium saucepan with heavy bottom if possible.
  3. Add onions, clams in juice, potatoes, salt and water.
  4. Simmer for 15 minutes.
  5. Add canned milk and the one quart milk.
  6. Bring just to a boil.
  7. Hold at medium warm, and serve with crackers.
