Shrimp Taco

Description[edit]

Shrimp Taco [1] [2] is a super taco with more layers and toasting and frying, a delicious treat.

Ingredients[edit]

  • 1 tbsp plus 2 tsp butter or olive oil
  • 1 tsp chopped garlic
  • 1 pound medium shrimp, peeled, tails removed, and cut in half if large
  • 1 tsp finely chopped chipotles in adobo
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • Large corn tortillas
  • 1 1/2 cups grated Jack cheese
  • Chipotle salsa
  • Guacamole
  • Mango habanero salsa
  • Cilantro sprigs

Procedure[edit]

  1. Over medium heat melt butter/olive oil in a large pan.
  2. Include the garlic and shrimp, stir.
  3. Achieve pink shrimp.
  4. Include chipotles and salt, stirring.
  5. Remove from heat.
  6. Warm a large heavy pan, include the butter/oil.
  7. Warm corn tortilla in pan, and sprinkle 2 tbsp of shredded cheese evenly.
  8. Include 2-3 shrimp on one side of the tortilla.
  9. When cheese starts to melt close the tortilla in half.
  10. Fry both sides to achieve a crisp and golden appearance.
  11. Remove from heat and open tortilla.
  12. Include 1 tsp chipotle salsa, 1 tbsp guacamole and 1 tbsp mango habanero salsa.
  13. Include a few cilantro sprigs, then close tortilla.
  14. Serve warm!!
