Makes 8 servings.



  1. In a medium saucepan combine water, bulgur wheat, uncooked rice, and salt.
  2. Bring to boiling, reduced heat.
  3. Cover and simmer for 20 minutes.
  4. Add milk, sugar, light raisins, currants, dates, apricots and orange juice.
  5. Cook, uncovered, over low heat for 20 minutes.
  6. Spoon into serving bowls, sprinkle each serving with walnuts or almonds.
  7. Serve warm or chilled.
