Five-spices Peanuts

Directions

  1. Put all ingredients in a large saucepan, and bring mixture to a boil over medium heat.
  2. Reduce heat to low, and cook for 30 minutes, uncovered.
  3. Remove from heat, strain peanuts and reserve liquid.
  4. Set peanuts aside to cool.
  5. Serve peanuts with several tablespoons reserved liquid.
