Ingredients

Procedures

  1. Preheat oven to 220°C (425°F).
  2. Sift flour and spice.
  3. Rub butter into flour with fingertips.
  4. Add sugar, fruit and peel.
  5. Mix with egg and sufficient milk to form a stiff dough.
  6. Place spoonfuls of mixture on greased oven tray (cookie sheet).
  7. Bake at 200°C until golden brown, 10 – 15 minutes.
  8. Cool on wire rack.
