Raisin Cookies

Description

This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Mclean Estate in Irving, Texas in 1982. From "Catsrecipes Y-Group"

Ingredients

• ½ cup shortening
• 1½ cups brown sugar
• 1 teaspoon baking soda dissolved in ⅓ cup hot water
• 3 eggs
• 1½ cup raisins
• 1 teaspoon cinnamon
• 3 cups flour

Procedures

1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
2. Mix all ingredients until well combined then drop on lightly greased cookie sheets and bake for 10 minutes.
