This template embeds COinS metadata in the HTML output, allowing reference management software to retrieve bibliographic metadata; see Wikipedia:COinS.

  • Do not use parser or extension tags such as <nowiki> in fields—this exposes strip markers in the metadata; see Help:Strip markers for details.
  • Do not use templates such as {{smallcaps}} or other markup in fields—the HTML output will be rendered in the meta-data.
