Description

Tostones are plantain chips.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Peel the plantains and cut into 1 inch thick slices.
  2. In a deep frying pan heat the oil and fry the plantains till golden brown.
  3. Flatten the plantains using the bottom of a flat-bottomed glass bottle.
  4. Fry the plantains again for 30 seconds on each side.
  5. Mix the water, a pinch of salt and the mashed garlic.
  6. Stir and pour over the plantains. Serve immediately.
