German Cole Slaw
1/2 head green cabbage, chopped medium
1/4 head purple cabbage, chopped medium
1/2 white or purple onion, chopped fine
1 carrot, grated fine
1 medium green bell pepper, chopped fine
1 1/2 cups sugar
1/3 cup cider vinegar
Toss cabbages, onion, carrot and bell pepper together. Mix sugar
and vinegar together in a saucepan and boil until sugar is
dissolved. Cool completely. Pour over vegetables, mix well and
refrigerate for 8 hours.
