Description
This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Gingham Estate in Fort Worth, Texas in 1992. From "Catsrecipes Y-Group"[1]
Ingredients
- 12 ounce can peaches
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 4 ounces butter
- 4 ounces granulated sugar
- 2 ounces peach schnapps or peach liqueur
- 4 scoops of good vanilla ice cream
Directions
- Melt butter then add sugar and cook for 3 minutes.
- Strain peaches and add juice to sugar mixture and simmer 5 minutes then add cinnamon, nutmeg and peaches and simmer 2 minutes longer.
- Add peach liquor and serve over ice cream.
