Lentil soup
1 C lentils 250 ml
1 qt. water 1 L
� lb side (salt) pork (cut up) 250 g
1 onion (chopped) 1
3 carrots (shredded) 3
Salt & pepper to taste
Combine lentils, water, and side pork in soup kettle. Bring to boil; reduce heat and simmer 3 hours. Add onion and carrots. Season to taste. Cook 1 hour.
Yield: 1 qt (1 L)
