Directions

  1. Place the chocolate, heavy cream, and cinnamon in a medium heavy saucepan.
  2. Cook over low heat, stirring occasionally, until the chocolate melts and the sauce is smooth.
  3. Remove from the heat and cool for 10 minutes. Distribute the ice cream and banana slices among four dishes.
  4. Top with the cooled sauce and sprinkle the peanuts overtop.
  5. Add whipped cream if desired, and a sprinkle of cinnamon on top.
