Description
Pico de Gallo [1] [2] is a traditional simple fresh salsa.
Ingredients
- 4 large ripe Roma tomatoes, cored, seeded, and diced small
- 1/2 cup finely diced white onion
- 1/2 medium serrano chile, minced
- 1/2 cup loosely packed, roughly chopped cilantro leaves
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp fresh lime juice
Procedures
- Combine all ingredients ~1 hour before serving so the veggies can marinate together.
- Taste and alter with salt or lime juice.
