Procedures

  1. Combine the cornstarch, salt and sugar in a small mixing bowl and mix well.
  2. Combine milk, egg whites, vanilla, margarine and food coloring in another 6- to 8-cup container.
  3. Whisk to blend.
  4. Add dry ingredients and whisk all the ingredients together thoroughly.
  5. Cook in microwave on high (100 percent power) for 6 to 8 minutes or until thick, stirring after every minute.
  6. To chill, place wax paper directly on pudding; refrigerate.
  7. To assemble dish, slice bananas on bottom of serving dish.
  8. Add chilled pudding and garnish with crumbled vanilla wafers.
