Description
Purchased from the Van Sickle Estate in Mabank, Texas in 1990. Dated 1949.
Ingredients
- 1-cup whole-wheat flour
- 1 cup white flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1-teaspoon cinnamon
- 1-1/2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup chopped dates
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
- 1 egg, beaten
- ½ cup Sugar
- 1-cup milk
Procedures
- Preheat oven to 400.
- Mix dry ingredients.
- Add dates and walnuts.
- Make a hole in the mixture and add milk, egg, and oil.
- Mix until blended.
- Spray muffin tin with cooking spray and fill two thirds full.
- Bake for 20 to 25 minutes.
