Description

Hinjo (Burmese Sour Soup) is best served with rice.

  • Serves 4

Ingredients

Procedures

  1. Heat oil in a saucepan until very hot.
  2. Then fry the onion, garlic and turmeric for 30 seconds.
  3. Add in the tomatoes and spinach.
  4. Stir for another 30 seconds then add the stock or water.
  5. Let the mixture boil.
  6. Add the shrimp paste, cover the pan and let it simmer over low heat until vegetables are soft.
  7. Add salt to taste.
