Description

This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Hakes Estate in Dallas, Texas in 1988. From "Catsrecipes Y-Group"[1]

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. In a large pot cook turnips in boiling salted water for 20 minutes then drain and mash.
  3. Beat in the softened cream cheese, sugar and butter.
  4. Season with salt and pepper and mix well.
  5. Pour into greased casserole and top with bread crumbs.
  6. Bake for 20 minutes.
