Ingredients

  • ½ cup shortening
  • ⅔ cup sugar
  • 2 t. instant coffee
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • ¾ cup. flour
  • ¼ tsp. salt
  • ½ tsp. vanilla
  • ½ cup chopped nuts

Directions

  1. Cream first 3 ingredients together until fluffy
  2. Add remaining ingredients and mix well.
  3. Put on cookie sheet by teaspoonfuls.
  4. Bake until edges are firm and tops are dry, approximately 10 to 12 minutes at 350 degrees.
