* ½ tsp [[ground turmeric|turmeric powder]]
* ½ cup thick [[tamarind juice]] '''or''' 2 tablespoon [[vinegar]]
* [[salt]] to taste
* cooking [[oil]] 

== Procedures ==
# Slice with a sharp knife and fry the [[onion]]s in a pan until done.
# Add the ground [[masala]] and fry till the [[oil]] begins to separate.
# Now add the shrimps and [[salt]] and some [[water]] and simmer for a while.
# Bring to a boil.
