Purchased from the Weir Estate in Canton, Texas in 1990. Date on card says 1947, also indicates that it was so popular it was sold at a local market.

- Makes 9 quarts
- 4 pounds beef
- 1 pound suet
- 8 pounds apples
- 4 pounds sugar
- 2 pounds raisins
- 1 cup white vinegar
- 2 tablespoons cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon salt
- Cook beef until tender, then run through meat grinder with suet.
- Pare and quarter apples.
- Combine all ingredients and cook one hour, stirring occasionally.
- Remove from heat and seal in sterilized jars.
