Yields 8 dozen cookies



  1. In a large bowl, cream the butter; add the sugar gradually and mix well.
  2. Add the eggs and vanilla and mix well again.
  3. Sift together the flour, baking soda and salt.
  4. Add this to the sugar/eggs and blend well.
  5. Add the pecans, coconut and cherries.
  6. Mix until blended well.
  7. Drop teaspoonfuls on a greased cookie sheet.
  8. Bake at 375°F for about 10 minutes.
