Apple Granola Bars

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F; coat an 8-inch square baking pan with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. In a large bowl, combine brown sugar and margarine; beat well.
  3. Add applesauce and egg; blend well.
  4. Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup; level off.
  5. Add flour, granola, baking soda and allspice; blend well.
  6. stir in apples.
  7. Spread batter in prepared pan.
  8. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  9. Cool completely; cut into bars.
