A cake with pieces of Apples and spiced with cinnamon.

  • Serves six



  1. Peel and cut apples into eighths (wedges).
  2. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt with 4 tablespoons of the sugar.
  3. Cut in butter/margarine.
  4. Combine egg and milk and add to flour mixture.
  5. Turn batter into greased 8 inch square cake pan.
  6. Press apple wedges partly into batter.
  7. Combine remaining 2 tbsp sugar and cinnamon, sprinkle over apple.
  8. Bake at 425°F for 25 to 30 minutes.
